College(s):Miami University, Oxford, Oh
My name is Coach Genslinger and I will be your Dixie Football coach this year. Because I will be spending nearly 3-4 hours each day with your son, I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you a few things about myself both personally and professionally.
I have lived in Germantown for the past 41 years. During those 41 years, I attended school at Valley View, went on to Bluffton College of Ohio, from there to Morehead State University in Kentucky and from Morehead it was on to the United States Navy. The final stop was Miami University in Oxford where I was a walk-on football player and received my B.S. degree in Health and Physical Education while also receiving a minor in Coaching. In 2001 I received a Masters of Sport Science degree in Sports Management from the United States Sport Academy. This will be my 15th year teaching Physical Education at Valley View Schools. I am also involved in extracurricular activities, for eleven years as an assistant high school football coach, and particularly proud to have been part of the 1994, 1996, and 1997 Division IV State Champions. This is my third year as a Dixie football coach, my first year as defensive coordinator and I am proud to be starting my second year as the head Dixie football coach; I have also served as Valley View high school boys’ varsity track coach as well as head coach high school wrestling and middle school track both girls and boys.
During the summer I enjoy spending time with Shelly, my wife of 16 years, and our three children, Cole 11, KiLee 9 and Collin 7. I often spend time attending football clinics and working football camps. I also enjoy playing a good game of basketball at Veteran’s Park. Reading is also a favorite pastime as well as walking, golfing, jogging, riding bikes and swimming.
As I continue to further my education to become a better coach one ideal I have will always remain the same. I believe one of the single most important factors in coaching is to have parental involvement with your son. I firmly believe that your child receives the best coaching when you and I work together as a team to give your child the best opportunity to become a better student/athlete.
I will be keeping in touch with you all year long. I welcome your calls and written messages. Any time you have anything you would like to discuss with me, please email me at vvjrkgenslin@mdeca.org or ksg279@msn.com call me at 855-4241. I will return your email or call as quickly as possible. I’m looking forward to an exciting and productive year working with The Dixie Hound football program.

Mr. Kile Genslinger
PS. If you believe half the things your child says about me then I will believe half the things your child says about you.
